Unless you've been following him for a long time, you've probably seen him on Instagram. Pietro Boselli, 32, is an Italian photographer who posts photos of his shoots on Instagram. However, many people are unaware that this handsome young man is also, and most importantly, a math teacher.
Pietro Boselli's beginnings as a math teacher
Pietro Boselli grew up in the Italian town of Brescia. He was an outstanding student who quickly specialized in mathematics. His grades earned him a place at University College London to study mechanical engineering. He graduated with honors in 2010. He then began his doctorate while also teaching university students. In 2016, he finally received this highest honor in mathematics.
Pietro Boselli's university career was exemplary, but he had to deal with taunts from his colleagues and the embarrassing attitude of some students.
'I had just given a one hour lesson on advanced maths for engineering, and I knew questions were bound to come,' he says in an interview with Grazia UK. Only in my class did they not always stay on topic. "I have a question," one student inquired. "Can you tell me how you got those biceps? I was unsurprised. Students questioned my body, my face, and I've even noticed that some of them sneakily photograph me while I'm trying to teach. I'm a model as well as a PhD in chemical engineering and a university professor."
Pietro Boselli's modeling career
Pietro Boselli began modeling at the age of six in Brescia, Italy. He continued the photo shoots alongside his studies in order to pay his university fees. He has always enjoyed rubbing shoulders with people from two very different worlds. He rose to prominence on social media in 2015 after a student shared a photo of him.
Since Pietro Boselli appeared in Abercrombie & Fitch campaigns before becoming Armani's muse. He now has over 2 million Instagram followers.
"My fellow teachers and students took me less seriously because of my modeling career - so much so that I was sometimes ashamed of it," he says. That's why I could relate to Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington when he recently spoke about being objectified by women. Being put on a pedestal as a handsome guy is slightly humiliating... in the same way that women are"
