Twitter Causes Chaos by Replacing Logo with Doge Emblem: Is Elon Musk Behind It?

On Monday, Twitter replaced its recognizable logo with the cryptocurrency's emblem of a shiba inu dog's head and torso.

The decision caused quite a stir on Twitter, with stunned users tweeting their disbelief. Some of them suspected that hackers had infiltrated the site to cause havoc.

"Between the Moana live action news and the doge logo taking over Twitter, today has just turned into pure chaos," another influencer wrote.

Some insiders interpreted the shift as a sign that Elon Musk is preparing to acquire Dogecoin. It could also have been Musk's method of mocking the plaintiffs in a lawsuit against Dogecoin. The timing of the logo shift appears odd. Musk's lawyers requested a federal court in New York last week to dismiss the $258 lawsuit, which was based on racketeering charges.

Musk's lawyers tried to have the case dismissed, calling it "a fanciful work of fiction."

"There is nothing illegal about tweeting words of support for, or funny pictures of, a legitimate cryptocurrency with a market cap of $10 billion," the attorneys wrote.

The investors who are suing Musk charge him of running a pump-and-dump scheme. They claim he knew the currency had no intrinsic worth but inflated its value with tweets.

Dogecoin has been plagued by rumors about its validity since its inception in 2013. Some believe that the money began as a joke. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and state attorneys general continue to launch public assaults on the $1.21 trillion crypto market.
